Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The creation of the New Braunfels (TX) Alumni Chapter began as a vision in the fall of 2021. Several Brothers residing in the New Braunfels, Stone Oaks, Cibolo, Seguin, San Marcos, and Randolph Air Force Base areas came together to begin the process of petitioning for the establishment of a new alumni chapter. The primary goals of the new chapter were to aggressively reclaim brothers living in the New Braunfels area who were not affiliated with an alumni chapter for whatever reason and to establish a Guide Right program to support the citizens throughout New Braunfels.

 

The New Braunfels (TX) Alumni Chapter was chartered on September 15, 2023, becoming an alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The charter was presented at the chartering ceremony, which was held at Texas State University on September 15, 2023, by the 27th Past Southwestern Polemarch Williams A Puder under the direction of the 28th Southwestern Province Polemarch C Jerome Brown.

The 24 charter members of the New Braunfels (TX) Alumni Chapter are: Kirk A. Reed, Deric JeRon Hawkins, David R. Maxwell, Paul E. Robinson, Jimmy L. Chambers, Charles J. Calais, Drexel R Forbes, Andre V Tucker, Vincent M. Herrington, Michael E. Hawkins, Maurice Minor, Michael S. Pitts, Brian Guillory, Derell M. Bibbs, Eric Staten, Christopher Maclin, Draon Glenn, Shane Waden, Blair Hannon, George Whitehead, Eroy J. Burns, Corey Conerly, Edward S. Jones, and Todd M. Williams. Brother Kirk A. Reed was elected as the chapter’s 1st Polemarch. Brother Reed was initiated in 1988 into the Northwestern University (LA), Theta Lambda chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
